Naruto:Hashirama's Wood Style Jutsu- Why is it so Unique?

Hashirama Senju is easily one of the strongest characters in Naruto because of his  ability to use Wood Style Jutsu and Sage mode. 

As the reincarnation of Asura Otsusuki,Hashirama Senju inherited the Wood Style Jutsu and later became known as the 'God of Shinobi'.
In Naruto there have been several Wood Style users like Madara,Yamato and Orochimaru but none of them even came close to Hashirama Senju in his prime.He was able to bring about great change in the Shinobi world with his Wood Style Jutsu and unrivaled Chakra.

As the Wood Style Jutsu is an innate ability, Other shinobis used Wood Style Jutsu by injecting Hashirama cells in their body.Even though Naruto has shown several characters with Kekkei Genkai,Wood Style is the most important one.

Why only Hashirama can use Wood Style in his clan?

The Byakugan is the Kekkai Genkai of the Hyuga clan members.Regardless of the Kekkei Genkai,they're passed down among the clan members through generations.However,the Wood Style Jutsu is unique and since the Senju clan has no unique ability,Hashirama is the only member of the clan who can use Wood Style Jutsu.

  

 

 

Even though they had no unique abilities the Senju clan specialised in all fields of ninjutsu because of their immense Chakra which was multiple times more than an average shinobi.Wood Style Jutsu is a combination of Earth and Water elements.Hashirama's  inherited memories and special skills as a shinobi  made him capable of using the Wood Style Jutsu.
 
  The forest which is the foundation of the Leaf village was created by Hashirama which contributed in his selection as the First Hokage of the Leaf village.

  

Hashirama's Sage mode allowed him to perform 'Shinsu Senju'- which creates a massive Buddha statue which he used in the battle against Madara Uchiha.He can also create Wood Clones using his Wood Style Jutsu which are indistinguishable from the user and are quite formidable since they are even capable of performing Jutsu.
